Kathy can be found teaching group fitness classes, specializing in TRX and Bootcamp style fitness, as well as working with people on a 1:1 basis. Her functional approach to fitness has Kathy creating workouts that are programmed to get you stronger, healthier and leaner in a safe, progressive format. Kathy’s first career was a Special Education Teacher, working with a variety of disabilities. This followed with years of experience in leadership as a High School Assistant Principal. Realizing that it was important to find ways for her staff, and students, to find balance in their lives, Kathy had to look deep into her own. 

Prior to having children, Kathy had been very active with swimming, scuba diving, running, and skiing. Being a single mother, raising 2 children, and working full time had her feeling she had lost her mojo; finding it hard to build in time to exercise, to move, or find time for herself. She realized that if she wasn’t exercising she wasn’t happy. If she wasn’t happy, she could not be herself. It was then that she discovered suspension training where resistance and body weight training was re-define. She began embracing group fitness, working on her strength, agility, speed and balance. Kathy feels that fitness gave her the strength to move through the different roles she holds each day: assistant principal, mother, daughter, sister, and friend. Through her fitness journey, she discovered that fitness was not just a passion, it is her sanitiy…her “happy place.” Discovering the CFX Trainer, and the growing community, has put her on a trajectory, and a path, where she will be able to align her passion for health and movement, while contributing to others well-being! She loves to help others get fit while having a good time within a community of people who share the same goals. “I love group fitness and the interactions amongst one another. Surrounding ourselves with people who help you grow and become the best version of yourself.”

Kathy’s mission is to do whatever it takes, to inspire others, to KEEP ON MOVING! Given her educational background she creates fun, unique, and challenging workouts; surrounding herself with people who help each other grow and become the best version of themselves. Background: Masters in Education – High School Administrator (overseeing the Special Education Program), previous Special Education teacher, Fitness Certifications: NFPT Personal Trainer, TRX Advanced Group Training, NETA Pilates & Mad Dogg/Schwinn Cycling Certified, and excited to join the list of CFX Trainers. Kathy is serious about programming and continuing her fitness education. She is currently working on her certifications as a Cancer Specialist & Active Aging. Following those will be her certification in Special Needs Training, as she already has over 35 years in the field.
